An echocardiogram is used to evaluate the structure and function of the heart muscle and valves. We use this test to evaluate for chemotherapy related cardiotoxicity. The echocardiogram, if used regularly throughout treatment, can potentially decrease cardiac damage and prevent any delays in cancer treatment.

A lower venous is used to evaluate the venous system and check for blood clots. Patients with cancer are at a higher risk for developing deep vein thrombosis.
